WebTrak is a tool that provides near real time information on flights. It makes it easier for citizens to follow flights and submit a noise complaint on specific flights. WebTrak displays flight tracks, aircraft types, altitudes, as well as the noise levels registered at the noise monitoring stations. Information can be consulted retroactively for a period of 30 days.

Information on flights and radar data are provided by NAV CANADA. It is not intended to be used for navigational or regulatory enforcement purposes.

For security reasons, data are available after a 10-minute delay of "real-time" tracking. Specific flight information, including airline and flight number, remains hidden. Government flight operations, such as law enforcement and military flights, are not available.

WebTrak Computer Requirements

WebTrak requires that Flash 9, or higher, be installed on your computer. Flash should automatically update to the correct version. If you have difficulties with Flash then you should refer to the Adobe product page for Flash 9.

WebTrak is supported on versions of the following browsers that have been released in the last two years:

  • Google
  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Edge

We recommend the usage of the latest version of Google Chrome. Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android provide the supported browsers.

Your computer should meet the following minimum specifications:

  • Windows 7 or later, or Mac OS/X
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 1GHz processor

WebTrak is best viewed using a high-speed broadband Internet connection. A dial-up connection may also be used but loading the application and data will be much slower resulting in longer waiting periods, and it will not be possible to use high levels of acceleration when replaying flights.
