    What is SMS messaging?
    SMS (Short Message Service) or text messaging is an option available on the vast majority of mobile telephones that allows users to send text-based messages between phones and the following information providers: Bell, Fido, Koodo, Mobilicity, MTS, Public Mobile, Rogers, Sasktel, Telus, Videotron, Virgin. SMS messages, or texts, are often limited to 136 characters per message. For more information on how to use SMS/Text messaging on your phone, please see the user manual for your phone or check with your network provider.
    Is the service supported by my network?
    All Canadian mobile network providers offer this service to their users.   
    Where does the flight information come from?
    The flight information is sourced from the main operational flight database that provides information to the flight information systems at Montréal-Trudeau Airport including the screens in the terminals and the www.admtl.com website. Only information on flights that arrive at and depart from Montréal-Trudeau Airport is available.
    For what time period is the flight information available?
    SMS flight information is available up to 24 hours before a flight is departing or arriving and for one hour after it has departed or landed.
    How do I receive alerts?
    To sign up for alerts, answer ok upon receiving flight information.  Montréal-Trudeau SMS flight information automatically sends alerts to users once a request is made.
    What is an alert?
    The alert automatically informs the user of a change in the scheduled departure or arrival time of more than 10 minutes. The user will also receive an alert if the queried flight has been cancelled.
    How do I stop the alerts?
    The user can stop receiving alerts by texting the word “STOP” to 23636.
    What is the cost of using a text messaging service (SMS)?
    This service is provided free of charge by Aéroports de Montréal, only standard text messaging rates by your cell phone carrier apply.
    What happens if I make a mistake in the flight number?
    The format to use for this service is your flight number including the 2- or 3-letter airline code (e.g.: AY123). If the flight number is typed incorrectly, you will receive an error message. You will only be charged for messages providing a flight status.
    What happens when the flight I am interested in is cancelled?
    In the event where a queried flight is cancelled, the user will receive a message stating that the flight has been cancelled.
    What do I do if I receive an SMS saying my flight is delayed?
    Before making your way to Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, we strongly suggest that you check your flight information with your airline.
