Subject: CATSA: new "verified traveller" program for eligible travellers
As of June 14, the "trusted traveller" program will be renamed "verified traveller".
This program is only available to Nexus/Global Entry, RAIC and Canadian crew members (in uniform), serving members of the Canadian and U.S. Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officers and Canadian police officers with badges and photo identification issued by their respective organizations.
Only co-travellers aged 17 or under or 75 or over will now be able to accompany the verified traveller at the domestic/international checkpoint. Currently, at the transborder screening checkpoint, there are no age restrictions for co-travellers.
To find out more about all the benefits, visit the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) website.
